Role Overview
The Production Assistant/General hand will provide flexible support across multiple areas of the business, including production, embroidery, sales assistance, warehouse operations, and logistics. This role requires practical, hands-on approach and the ability to adapt to varied tasks in fast paced manufacturing and sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support
· Operate and maintain embroidery machines, setting up jobs according to production requirements.
· Assist machinists and production staff as required to meet deadlines.
Driving & Logistics
· Occasionally drive the company van for deliveries, collections, and exhibition transport when required.
· Ensure safe handling and secure transportation of goods and equipment.
· Pick-up and drop-off of customers/management
Warehouse & General Duties
· Assist with stock management, including receiving, storing, and picking goods.
· Support packing and dispatch of customer orders.
· Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
· Undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by management to support the smooth running of operations.
Sales & Exhibition Support
· Assist the sales team with preparing marketing packs, sample sets, and materials for exhibitions and events.
· Help set up and dismantle displays at exhibitions when required.
· Provide occasional support during sales visits or trade shows.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
· Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn new skills.
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
· Good work ethic
Desirable
· Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment preferred but not essential- training will be provided.
