We are looking for an organised and reliable Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator to manage the day-to-day finances for our group of fish and chip shops and several other businesses.
You do not need to be a fully qualified accountant, but you must have good bookkeeping experience and be confident using Xero.
Key responsibilities:
● Visiting our shops weekly to collect invoices and paperwork
● Entering purchase invoices and financial information into Xero each week
● Keeping bookkeeping records accurate and up to date
● Preparing and processing monthly payroll
● Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
● Reconciling bank accounts and checking financial records
● Liaising with our external accountants regarding year-end accounts
● Assisting with general financial and administrative tasks across the businesses
The role:
● £16 per hour
● Part-time, up to 16 hours per week
● Mainly working from home, with weekly visits to our shop locations
● Flexible working hours

● Business mileage paid
The ideal candidate will:
● Have previous bookkeeping or accounts administration experience
● Be confident using Xero
● Have experience with payroll and VAT returns
● Be highly organised and comfortable working independently
● Be trustworthy and able to handle confidential financial information
● Have their own vehicle and be willing to travel between our shops
● Have experience working with multiple businesses or locations, although this is not essential
Pay: From £16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 16.0 per week
