Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bathroom and Kitchen Fitter to join our team. This role involves the installation, repair, and refurbishment of bathrooms and kitchens, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction disciplines, including carpentry, plumbing, and tiling, with the ability to interpret schematics and work with a range of hand and power tools. Responsibilities
- Install and fit bathroom suites, kitchen units, tiling, and associated fixtures with precision and care
- Conduct repairs and refurbishments on existing bathroom and kitchen installations
- Measure spaces accurately and interpret technical drawings or schematics to ensure correct fitting
- utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met within deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently throughout all stages of work
- Assist in the preparation of surfaces through plastering or masonry work as required
- Fabricate custom fittings or modifications as needed for specific projects
Requirements
- Proven experience in bathroom and kitchen fitting or similar construction roles
- Strong skills in plumbing, carpentry, tiling, masonry, welding, electrical work, or roofing are highly desirable
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints accurately
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and construction painting techniques
- Knowledge of health & safety standards relevant to construction sites
- Construction experience with an understanding of installation processes for fixtures and fittings
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid relevant certifications or licences are advantageous but not essential
