Position: Waste And Recycling Loader
Location: Environmental Hub, CW10 0JR
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 5+ Months
Working Hours: 39 hours per week 06:00 to 17:00
Pay Rate: PAYE: £13.45 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Collect household waste and recycling safely and efficiently
- Load waste and recycling materials onto collection vehicles
- Work as part of a collection crew to complete scheduled routes
- Follow all health and safety procedures and operational guidelines at all times
- Carry out manual handling duties and physical tasks throughout the working day
- Help maintain clean and tidy vehicles and work areas
- Report any issues, hazards, or service concerns to the supervisor
- Support the team in delivering a reliable and efficient waste collection service
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements
- Physically fit and able to carry out regular manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Successful completion of all required pre-employment compliance checks
- Ability to provide two written references
- Willingness to attend an in-person interview
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Previous experience in waste collection, recycling, refuse services, or similar manual labour roles
- Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques
- Experience working within a team-based operational environment
