Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our healthcare team at Twechar Parmacy. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare medication labels and organise stock for easy retrieval
- Provide guidance to patients on medication usage and answer basic queries under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications in compliance with legal and safety standards
- Support inventory management, including stock checks and reordering supplies as needed
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times
- Contribute to delivering high-quality patient care through attentive service and professional communication
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar healthcare support role is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medicines
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A genuine interest in patient care and healthcare services
- Relevant qualifications or certifications related to pharmacy support are desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for motivated candidates
