Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation and pizza, looking to develop their skills in a dynamic kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist in preparing meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the culinary team to ensure smooth operations. Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and stretching pizza.
- Support the cooking team in meal assembly and presentation
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Help with stock rotation and inventory checks to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing timely assistance with meal delivery
- Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all staff members
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or meal assembly will be considered an asset
- Familiarity with serving procedures in a hospitality setting is advantageous
- A genuine interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: £12.75 per hour
