Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Agency Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and possess the skills necessary to deliver high-quality care in various settings, including childcare, senior care, and hospice care. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you support.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Support clients with mobility and transport needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities.
- Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Provide specialised care for individuals with conditions such as dementia or those requiring hospice care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, senior care, or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- A caring and patient attitude towards individuals in need of assistance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Certification in first aid or caregiving is beneficial but not mandatory.
