Job Summary;
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls and Instrumentation Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing engineering projects related to our PLC Controls, HMI and SCADA systems from conception through completion. This role requires coordinating between various departments, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and specifications are met and maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities;
Plan, design, and oversee engineering projects in collaboration with senior engineers and project managers.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, quality, and safety adherence.
Support procurement activities by reviewing specifications and coordinating with suppliers.
Assist in risk assessment and management throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Engineering Team.
Qualifications;
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Proven experience as a Project/ Improvement Engineer or similar role.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, Control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation) and project management.
Proficient in project management software and engineering design tools.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations including Contractor Management.
Knowledge or experience in Operational Excellence/ Continuous Improvement would be advantageous
