The Role
We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded Finance Manager to support our business through a significant period of change. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in evolving environments, and is motivated by the opportunity to help shape processes and ways of working.
Initially, the role will be broad and fluid as the business transitions, with the scope becoming more defined over time.
You will work closely with the Finance Controller, supporting in delivering accurate reporting, strengthening financial controls, and providing insight to operational and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management and group reporting:
Profit and Loss
Balance sheet
Cash flow statements
Budget Variance analysis
Key financial metrics
Supporting the divisions forecasting and budgeting process
Supporting commercial decision making
Supporting the preparation of all statutory returns including:
VAT
All applicable taxation
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including Inter Company
Payroll and pension administration with outsourced provider
P11D and P60 reporting
Any other duties as the business may require within your capabilities.
Skills & Experience
- A team player with good Interpersonal skills
- Independent, self-starter with an excellent work ethic who is prepared to get involved responding to business needs
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to your workload
- Pro-active and open minded, able to engage with change and implement best practice
- Conscientious and organised able ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and within deadlines
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems
Desirable
- ACCA / CIMA or ACA qualification
- Experience in a multi-currency business
- Experience with Epicor and MS Dynamics Accounting Systems
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
