Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Gardener/Handy person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills to assist with various maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that our facilities and grounds are well-maintained and functional. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently while demonstrating a strong attention to detail. Experience in gardening and diy is essential
Duties
- Perform general maintenance tasks including repairs to fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
- Conduct landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and irrigation.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various repair and maintenance projects.
- Assist in groundskeeping duties to ensure the aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas.
- Undertake minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as needed.
- Maintain an organised inventory of tools and supplies required for daily tasks.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance person services or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including irrigation systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Excellent time management skills with the capability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A valid driving licence may be required for travel between locations.
