Job Title: Welder
Reporting To: Team Leader
Location: Wessington Cryogenics Limited, Houghton le Spring,
Tyne and Wear
Overall Aim: We are looking for a talented Mig/Tig Welder to build high-quality metal components for our clients. As a welder you will be responsible for reading weld procedures and using those parameters to weld various metals in various positions, will need to be coded at Wessington and work within ASME and EN standards
Potential for 4 welders
Outline of responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Reading and interpreting Weld procedures.
- Setting weld machines to the correct parameters.
- Good knowledge of both MIG and TIG welding.
- Experience of working with Stainless steel and Carbon steel.
- Possible fabrication knowledge.
- Grinding and finishing completed products.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
- Completing job reports.
Outline of Requirements:
- Previous work experience as a Coded Welder.
- AWS certification and advanced welding experience.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret WPS’s.
- Good Knowledge of plate, pipe and box section welding.
- Flexible attitude and ability to train on different welding processes within Wessington.
- Any Automatic and Semi-Automatic experience an advantage.
- Time served with certification.
