About Me & The Vision
I’m an experienced trade professional and business owner running a specialised domestic appliance installation company. We are a small, independent business with big ambitions. Right now, we are launching our dedicated regional brand across the North East, and I’m looking for an entrepreneurial, newly qualified engineer to become the face of that launch.
I’m not a massive, faceless corporation where you’re just a number. If you work with me, you’re working directly with someone who values high technical standards, compliance, and doing things right. Because I'm expanding, I have the time and resources to personally mentor you, help you build your confidence on-site, and invest in your future.
The Opportunity: Autonomy & Growth
This isn't a traditional, rigid "turn up and follow orders" job. It’s designed for someone who wants flexibility and real business experience:
- Part-Time Start: We can start you on a part-time basis, allowing you to transition into the industry smoothly or balance other commitments while you build up your workload.
- Your Own Digital Calendar: You will be given your own localised, automated booking system. Customers will book directly into your available slots, letting you manage your day efficiently.
- Minimal Overhead (Car Friendly): Because we focus purely on hobs, ovens, and cookers, you don't need a massive commercial vehicle. The tools and kit required for this specialised work mean you can easily run this regional operation straight out of a standard estate car.
- Be the Face of the Region: You will be our primary engineer on the ground in the North East, handling premium installations and building our local reputation from day one.
Who I’m Looking For
I am specifically looking for a newly qualified gas engineer who has recently completed their ACS training (CCN1 and CKR1 are essential).
If you lack years of site experience, that doesn't worry me at all. What matters to me is your drive. I am looking for someone who is:
- Entrepreneurial: You want to see how a regional brand is built from the ground up. You’re organised, driven, and look at this as a stepping stone to your future gas career.
- Eager to Learn Electric: Modern cookers aren't just gas anymore. I want someone who is keen to learn and qualify for basic domestic electrical work (safely disconnecting/connecting ovens and hobs). I will support and guide you through getting the proper upskilling so you can become a fully dual-fuel installation specialist.
- Quality-Focused: You take immense pride in your kit and your work. Safety and neatness are non-negotiable.
- A Great Communicator: You’ll be entering people's homes representing my business. You need to be polite, reliable, and professional.

- Electrical Upskilling: Direct support and a clear path to gaining the basic electrical qualifications needed for legal dual-fuel appliance changeovers.
- No Boiler Burnout: We focus strictly on cooking appliances. No highly stressful, middle-of-the-night emergency breakdown calls.
- Serious Career Progression: The person who joins me to launch this region will be perfectly positioned to scale and grow their own client base in the region.
Requirements
- Must hold current ACS certification (CCN1 & CKR1).
- Own reliable vehicle (a standard car is absolutely fine for this work) and full UK driving licence.
- A strong work ethic and the desire to build a career, not just collect a paycheck.
