Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a leading and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Truro who are looking to add an Accounts Senior to their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT Qualified individual or an ACA / ACCA studier or qualified accountant who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm, with a clear pathway into a Manager position within the next 12 months.
The successful candidate will primarily work with a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and limited companies, gaining exposure to a varied workload including accounts preparation, tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory work. As your experience develops, you will take on responsibility for managing your own portfolio of clients and become a trusted advisor to local businesses.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for owner-managed businesses and limited companies
- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory assignments
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting and advising clients on a range of accounting and taxation matters
- Developing towards managing your own portfolio of clients
Skills:
- AAT Qualified or ACA / ACCA Studying or Qualified
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and tax returns
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
- Ambitious individual looking to progress into a Manager role
