We are seeking a skilled Guillotine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating press brake machinery. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and assembling metal components to meet production specifications. the hourly rate is £14ph with a 50p ph attendance bonus, paid for every hour worked if a 39h week is completed (including holidays) for the full monthly period
A production bonus is all so paid monthly if achieved.
Working Week 4 Days.
7.00 - 17.30 Mon - Wed
7.00 - 16.30 Thu
Overtime paid after 39h
40h - 48h paid at time and a half £21.50ph
All overtime after 48h is paid at Double time £28.50ph
Duties
- Operate Guillotine machinery to cut metal sheets according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Assist with heavy lifting of materials as required during the production process.
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and efficiency within the warehouse environment.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working a Guillotine is essential.
- Familiarity with various power tools and hand tools used in metal fabrication.
- Previous experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Capability of performing heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
