Temporary Marketing & Operations Assistant
Duration: Temporary role to support the lead-up to and delivery of the Print Show and Sign Show exhibition.
Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and organised Marketing & Operations Assistant to support the Print Show and Sign Show team before and during the three-day exhibition. The role involves exhibitor communication, administration and on-site event support.
Key Responsibilities
Exhibitor Marketing Support
- Contact around 120 exhibitors by telephone.
- Encourage exhibitors to promote their attendance by adding the Print Show and Sign Show logos to their website, email signatures and social media channels.
- Check exhibitor websites and marketing materials to ensure logos have been added.
- Follow up by phone and email with exhibitors who have not completed the requested promotion.
- Keep accurate records of communications and progress.
NEC Parking Pass Administration
- Contact each exhibitor by telephone.
- Send NEC parking pass codes via email.
- Record when passes were sent, who they were sent to and how many passes were issued.
- Ensure all exhibitors receive their allocated parking passes before the event.
Exhibitor Manual and Email Support
- Support with exhibitor manual enquiries in the lead-up to the exhibition.
- Monitor and respond to exhibitor emails on days when the Exhibitor Manager is not working.
- Escalate more complex queries when needed.
Exhibition Support
- Represent Print Monthly and SignLink on the exhibition stand during the three-day event at the NEC.
- Hand out official show bags containing the exhibition magazine to visitors.
- Provide general assistance to visitors and exhibitors.
- Hotel accommodation for the event is provided.
Person Specification
We're looking for someone with:
- Excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Confidence speaking with customers and building positive relationships.
- Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Good Microsoft Office and email skills.
- The ability to work independently and use their own initiative.
- Previous customer service or event experience is desirable but not essential.
Pay and Hours
- £15.00 per hour
- 35 hours per week
- Approximately 8-week temporary contract
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
