Job Summary
A beautifully located restaurant with a B&B is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to join our team. Situated in a friendly community in the heart of mid-Wales within a UNESCO Heritage Valley, this role offers an opportunity to work in a stunning location while contributing to a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
You will be responsible for preparing delicious, healthy, and wholesome meals, focusing on both Indian and continental cuisines, using fresh, local ingredients. As a key team member, you will enhance the guest experience through exceptional culinary skills, providing a memorable dining experience for both guests and local visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals for guests.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently followed.
- Assist with menu planning and food ordering.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef, with expertise in South Indian cuisine (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian).
- We are *only accepting applications from candidates currently residing in the UK* who may qualify for the relevant transitional Skilled Worker arrangements.
- Proficiency in preparing vegetarian and vegan dishes, including idly, dosa, and tandoor items.
- A passion for cooking with fresh ingredients.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
