Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care
Spring Forth Health Care · Moreton, Wirral · £38,000–£45,000
We are looking for a Registered Manager who can lead from the front, run a CQC-compliant domiciliary care service, and grow it with us. This is not a desk job. You will know your staff, know your service users, and own the standards we deliver every day.
About Spring Forth Health Care
Spring Forth Health Care (SFHC) is an established care provider based in Moreton, Wirral. We deliver domiciliary care, outreach, short breaks and supported living across a portfolio of regulated and commissioned services. We are values-led, ambitious about quality, and we expect our managers to be the same. We are growing — the right Registered Manager will not just maintain compliance, they will help shape what comes next.
The Role
As Registered Manager you will hold CQC registration for our domiciliary care service. You will be accountable for the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led delivery of care across our service users' homes.
Day-to-day, this means:
- Holding overall responsibility for compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and the CQC Fundamental Standards
- Leading a team of care coordinators, senior carers and care workers — recruiting, supervising, appraising and developing them
- Owning the quality assurance cycle: audits, spot checks, care plan reviews, medication audits, and acting on what they tell you
- Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead and managing safeguarding referrals, investigations and outcomes
- Managing rosters, capacity and staff allocation so that care is consistent and continuity is real, not a slogan
- Building and maintaining relationships with commissioners, social workers, families, and external partners including local authority Quality teams and PAMMS reviewers
- Driving service growth — winning new packages, mobilising new contracts, and supporting tender activity
- Build your own team - full visibillity for all hiring decisions and functions
- Reporting to the Nominated Individual on performance, risk, finance and growth
About You
This is not a learning role. We need someone who has done it before, or is ready to step up with the right credentials behind them.
You will have:
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or be actively working towards it
- Demonstrable experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Care Manager in a CQC-regulated domiciliary care service
- A working knowledge of CQC inspection frameworks, KLOEs, and the new single assessment framework
- A sharp grasp of safeguarding adults, mental capacity, medication management, and risk assessment
- Strong people management skills — you can have the difficult conversation, not just the easy one
- Confidence with rostering systems (nursebuddy) , electronic care planning and digital records
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- The right to work in the UK. We are not currently sponsoring overseas applicants for this role
You will be the kind of manager who walks into a service and notices the small things — the kettle that's not been PAT tested, the care plan that hasn't been signed, the carer who looks like they need a check-in. That instinct matters more to us than a perfect CV.
What We Offer
- Salary of £38,000–£45,000 depending on experience, with annual review
- On-call allowance on top of base salary
- 33 days holiday including bank holidays, rising with service
- Genuine progression — we are growing, and senior leadership opportunities follow performance
- A supportive Nominated Individual and senior team who understand the role because they have done it
- Workplace pension
