Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Worker to join our team. The successful candidate must be physically fit for manual work. The main duties of the candidate will focus on providing excellent customer service and assisting in making up orders on demand and in advance. In addition to customer service the candidates' duties will also include offloading delivery vehicles, checking off incoming stock and managing light paperwork. Please note working hours are 07:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting customers and providing excellent customer service
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Picking and checking orders
- Storing stock safely
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
- Dealing with goods – in and out
- Organising the warehouse
Requirements
- A Counterbalance Forklift License is essential.
- A valid driving licence is mandatory.
- Building industry knowledge would be advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labour
- Ability to operate machinery safely following health and safety guidelines
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills
