Red Oaks Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our team at The Oaks Care Home, a high-dependency care home for people with Learning Difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a care team of 4 day staff and 2 night staff, ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. The Oaks, launched in 2020, has quickly gained a fantastic reputation, and we are looking for compassionate, experienced individuals to join our close-knit and dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Provide effective communication, delegation, and leadership to your team to ensure they deliver excellent care.
- Care Delivery: Oversee the provision of 1:1 supervision for residents, ensuring their individual needs are met with empathy and care.
- Activity Coordination: Organize and lead teams in taking residents out for activities, walks, and events to promote an active and engaged lifestyle.
- Resident Wellbeing: Foster a family-like atmosphere by promoting shared meals and companionship between staff and residents.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with both your team and management to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Support & Supervision: Conduct monthly supervisions and provide ongoing support for team members.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in the care sector is essential, with leadership experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-dependency care setting.
- Driving License: A full UK driving license is preferred, as the role involves organizing and participating in resident outings.
- Enhanced DBS Check: Successful applicants will undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
