Overview
We are seeking dedicated and flexible Bank Cover staff to join Nottingham Nurseries. This role offers the opportunity to work across various nursery settings, providing essential support to our team and ensuring high-quality childcare. The position is ideal for individuals with a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children. Successful candidates will be adaptable, reliable, and committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment for children.
Duties
- Covering shifts across multiple nursery locations as required, ensuring seamless continuity of care
- Supporting nursery staff with daily routines, including play, learning activities, and mealtime supervision
- Assisting with the organisation of activities that promote children's development and well-being
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicating effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a positive experience for all
- Supporting children’s individual needs and encouraging their social and emotional development
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to childcare records and documentation as needed
- Driving between nursery sites when required to provide cover
Skills
- Proven management and leadership skills within childcare or early years settings
- Experience working directly with children in nurseries or similar environments
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary
- Organised with the ability to adapt quickly to different nursery environments
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travel between nursery locations
- Compassionate approach to childcare, demonstrating patience and understanding
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
