Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled 360 operator/groundworker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate heavy machinery, primarily the 360-degree excavator, to assist with excavation, site preparation, and groundworks. Your mechanical knowledge and ability to handle various groundworking tasks will be essential in ensuring efficient project progress. Responsibilities
- Operate the 360-degree excavator safely and efficiently to perform digging, lifting, and material handling tasks
- Assist with site clearance, trenching, and groundwork activities according to project specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Support groundworks by assisting with the installation of foundations, drainage systems, and other structural elements
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a safe work environment
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Assist with general site duties as required, including loading/unloading materials and maintaining a clean work area
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery on construction sites
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) or equivalent for operating site vehicles and transporting equipment
- Prior experience working as a groundworker or in similar ground preparation roles is preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
