Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tyre Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tyres on different types of vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, recommending repairs or replacements as necessary
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
- Perform tyre repairs, including patching punctures and sealing leaks
- Use specialised equipment to mount and dismount tyres safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with vehicle inspections and basic mechanical tasks when required
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
- Experience with power tools used in tyre fitting processes is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tyres and related equipment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and lift heavy tyres or equipment as needed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential

Pay: £24,420.00-£27,000.00 per year
