Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Powder Coating Trainee to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in powder coating processes, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in fabrication, painting, and industrial finishing. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and handling of parts for powder coating, ensuring proper cleaning and masking.
- Learn to operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Support the application of powder coatings using spray guns and other tools, adhering to safety standards.
- Help with the inspection of finished products for quality assurance, identifying any defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including equipment and storage spaces.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to develop technical skills related to powder coating and fabrication processes.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools are preferred.
- Experience or interest in fabrication, assembly, or construction painting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations accurately for measurements and quality checks.
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to power tools, welding, and fabrication techniques.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
