We are a fast paced, busy and friendly independent coffee shop tucked away down one of the oldest shopping lanes in Boston town centre. We’re looking for a hard working, enthusiastic team player with a bit of common sense to join our dynamic kitchen team.
Must Haves - Experience in the a kitchen environment is a must(3 years) Baking Skills and Food Hygene knowledge are advantageous and will put you at the top of the interview list. Additionally we will expect the candidate to posess exceptional customer service skills, be able to integrate with our existing team and have a keen eye for the small details.
The days required to work will be Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:30 until 3PM. Some additional hours would be available to cover exceptionally busy periods and staff holiday.
All training will be provided for this role.
Responsibilities:
Preparing, presenting and serving food to an exceptional standard.
To ensure routine day to day as well as specialised cleaning of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, kitchen floors and storage areas.
To ensure waste is controlled with regard to preparation and cooking.
To maintain the highest standards of health, hygiene and safety.
To manage and control all food, to include; receiving and checking stock, checking equipment and materials are used correctly, closely monitoring portion control.
To follow setting up and closing down procedures
To maintain our friendly, vibrant and supportive atmosphere in the coffee shop
A Preferable candidate will have:
Baking experience
A passion for customer service
A flexible approach in terms of work, changes and
participation
High level of self motivation, with the ability to take initiative
High personal integrity, honesty, good timekeeping, inter‐personal skills, ability to work under pressure, whilst remaining patient and calm when dealing with customers and colleagues
