Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across various commercial and industrial sites throughout the UK. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, schematics, and equipment repair, along with leadership qualities to oversee maintenance projects and guide junior staff. Duties
- Install, service, and repair a wide range of air conditioning units and related mechanical systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to optimise system efficiency and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults accurately, and implement effective repairs promptly.
- Lead maintenance teams during large-scale projects, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in the design and planning of HVAC systems for new construction or refurbishment projects.
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, repairs, and inspections performed on equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical systems related to air conditioning, HVAC installation, or building maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals relevant to air conditioning equipment.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring team members on technical projects.
- Skilled in equipment repair, troubleshooting faults efficiently, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding installation processes within building sites.
- Familiarity with modern HVAC technologies and ongoing industry developments is advantageous.
