Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join a lively team caring for a 53yr lady in her home . The role involves assisting her with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Experience in care environments or home care is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. There are three shifts; morning shifts are worked with another member of staff normally. Afternoon/evening and a night shift this will normally involve one per week. This is in addition to the day hours. Alternate weekends are required. The lady has her own WAV vehicle, enjoys theatre trips, short holidays, swimming, bowling, cinema, and many other activities.

Duties
- Assist the client with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support client with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with medication and basic health monitoring as required
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Maintain accurate care plans and document any changes or concerns
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light household chores to ensure a clean and comfortable environment
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, maintaining safe driving practices
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Requirements
- Valid driving licence and access to reliable transportation for home visits or appointments
- Necessary to live within 10/15 miles of work place which is in Kidderminster, as occasional on call duties are required.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions accurately
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with client and colleagues
