Senior Care Assistant – Nights

We are looking for Senior Care Assistants to become part of our company’s passionate care giving teams. The candidates will interact directly with residents, providing all aspects of care as required.
We are searching for dedicated, compassionate, and caring individuals who have a passion to help others. The shifts will be on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays.
We are currently unable to offer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
· Lead, manage, co-ordinate and supervise a team of care assistants. To assist induction and training of new staff.
· Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice.
· You will be responsible for administering medication, monitoring residents conditions and directing care. Reporting significant changes to the manager/person in charge as necessary.
· To carry out all activities relating to a resident’s physical, personal, emotional and social wellbeing as outlined in the individual residents Care Plan, using a person- centred approach.
· Promoting person-centred care with each individual resident in accordance with Care Plans.
· Be knowledgeable about safeguarding vulnerable adults’ policies and procedures.
· Responsible for the general supervision of the home in the absence of management. In conjunction with the Registered Manager and Team Leaders, to contribute and support the effective management of the home.
· Liaise with healthcare professionals and families of the residents.
· Adhering to professional standards, following company policies and procedures and the regulatory requirements provided by the Care Quality Commissioning Group.
· To participate in training/courses as required.
Desirable skills
Level 3 In Health and Social Care would be desirable
Minimum of 2 Year Experience in a Care Home
Must have the right to work in the UK
Previous experience of administering medication
Experience managing/leading a team
Ability to work as part of a team, excellent communication skills, kind and caring
Able to remain calm under pressure and act with tack and respect at all times
Pay and Benefits
£13.50 per Hour
An enhanced DBS check is required (arranged by Morecambe Care Limited).
A Government approved NEST Pension scheme is offered to all staff

Training - All staff are supported and encouraged to acquire and develop relative skills and competencies to advance their performance in their current role and progress to higher levels.
