ARRA Distribution Limited is a growing, professional transport and logistics business specialising in temperature-controlled distribution throughout the UK.
We are looking for an organised and dependable Transport Administrator to join our team. This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day administration of our transport operation, vehicle fleet and driver compliance requirements.
The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the confidence to communicate with drivers, managers, suppliers and other departments across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Preparing and distributing daily turnover reports
- Processing speeding and parking fine nominations and challenges
- Uploading and maintaining vehicle maintenance paperwork
- Ordering stationery for all company sites
- Completing Safe2Drive driving-licence checks
- Supporting the administration of TruTac, including weekly checks and allocating drivers to the correct categories
- Raising weekly and monthly purchase orders
- Managing fuel-card administration, auditing existing cards and ordering replacements
- Downloading vehicle data for vehicles without automated downloads
- Supporting driver-training and compliance paperwork, including eyesight-test records
- Booking drivers for assessments, training and refresher courses
- Checking driver use of the Co-Pilot system
- Recording and monitoring AdBlue usage
- Administering company toll accounts
- Adding and removing vehicles from the company’s insurance policy and maintaining accurate records
- Maintaining driver and vehicle files
- Ordering uniforms and PPE for employees across the group
- Recording driver holidays
- Preparing and distributing the monthly group staff rota
- Providing general administrative support to the transport and compliance teams
- Completing other reasonable administrative duties when required
About You
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- The ability to manage several tasks and priorities at the same time
- A professional and confidential approach when handling employee and company information
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A reliable, proactive and helpful attitude
Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet administration or driver compliance would be beneficial, although training will be provided.
