Job Title: Sewing Machinist
Accountable to: Production Manager and Commercial Director
Tuesday - Friday
7.30am-3.30pm (2.30pm on Fridays)
Job Purpose:
First Corporate Clothing Ltd is looking for an experienced and skilled Sewing Machinist to join our busy production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong sewing and garment construction skills who takes pride in producing high-quality work. You'll be working on a variety of garments and bespoke projects, helping to create, alter and finish products to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce and alter garments and textile products.
- Create and assemble samples from patterns and specifications.
- Carry out alterations to meet customer requirements.
- Inspect finished items to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain sewing equipment, including changing needles, bobbins and guide plates.
- Record and report defective materials or finished products.
- Assist with quality checking, garment preparation, tagging and pressing when required.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed production deadlines.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist, Seamstress, Tailor, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques.
- Experience creating samples and working from bespoke specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support colleagues and share knowledge.
- Experience working with industrial sewing machinery is essential.
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
