WDS are a fast-growing brand promotion and retail activation company, working with leading food and consumer brands to bring products to life across the UK. With a presence in over 29 COSTCO stores nationwide, we are continuing to expand and are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader to help launch and lead the newest store opening in Gloucester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing business where no two days are the same. You will play a key role in creating an engaging shopping experience, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring our customers receive outstanding service while discovering exciting products and promotions.
As Team Leader, you will lead by example, creating a positive culture where your team feels supported, motivated, and empowered to deliver excellent results.
This role requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including alternate weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the successful launch and day-to-day operation of our new store.
- Lead, coach, and motivate your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Create an energetic and engaging environment that reflects our passion for promoting great brands.
- Ensure promotional campaigns and product demonstrations are executed to the highest standard.
- Plan and delegate daily tasks while maintaining excellent operational standards.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and ongoing support.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Resolve customer and team queries professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, and health & safety procedures.
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales, operational, and customer service targets.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about retail, people, and creating memorable customer experiences.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Management role within food retail or supermarkets.
- A proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop successful teams.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Flexibility to work alternate weekends and varying shifts as required.
Essential Experience
- Food Retail Management: 5 years (Required)
- Management: 3 years (Required)
- Supermarket or Food Retail Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
