- Future Schedule: Transitioning to Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (35 hours per week) once trainig and probationary period has ended.
Job Overview
We are a growing DTF business looking for a reliable, detail-oriented DTF Print Operator & Pre-Press Technician to join our team on-site. You will take full ownership of our large-format Direct-to-Film (DTF) printer. This role bridges digital design and physical production. Your primary goals are to prepare high-quality digital artwork, maximize material efficiency using gang sheets, and keep our production equipment running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Press & File Setup: Review customer-submitted artwork for correct resolutions, transparent backgrounds, and dimensions. Fix minor file issues before production.
- Gang Sheet Creation: Efficiently arrange multiple designs onto film layouts (gang sheets) using Adobe Creative Suite to minimize material waste.
- RIP Software Control: Manage print files through our RIP software, ensuring correct color profiles, white ink backing density, and resolutions.
- Machine Operation: Safely set up, load, and operate our large-format DTF printer, automated powder shaker, and curing oven system.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform mandatory daily and weekly machine maintenance. This includes printhead cleanings, nozzle checks, and capping station upkeep to prevent clogs.
- Quality & Inventory Control: Quality-check printed film transfers for color accuracy and powder curing. Track ink, film, and adhesive powder stock levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience with graphic design software, specifically Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Hands-on experience operating digital printers, large-format inkjet plotters, UV printers, or eco-solvent machines (Direct-to-Film experience is highly preferred).
- Experience using RIP software (e.g., CADlink Digital Factory, AcroRIP, Onyx, or similar print software).
- Strong technical troubleshooting ability for physical machine adjustments and digital files.
- Excellent organization skills with an eye for detail and color accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 20kg (for heavy film rolls and ink supplies).

- Prepare substrates and materials for printing processes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot printing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to meet project specifications.
- Ensure quality control standards are consistently met.
- Manage inventory of printing supplies and materials.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of printing stations as needed.
- Proven experience with DTF or similar printing technologies.
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Strong fabrication skills and understanding of printing materials.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely.
- Experience working in a warehouse or production environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
- Prior experience with assembly processes is a plus.
