About the role
The Talent Acquisition Business Partner is responsible for delivering a proactive, high-quality recruitment and talent attraction service across IQE. Acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers and business leaders, the role leads end-to-end recruitment activities, provides market insight and workforce planning support, and ensures the organisation attracts, engages and appoints diverse, high-calibre talent aligned to current and future business needs.
The role will drive improvements in recruitment practices, employer branding, candidate experience and talent pipelines, whilst ensuring recruitment activity is compliant, efficient and aligned to IQE’s values and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Acquisition

Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs, talent gaps and recruitment priorities.

Develop recruitment strategies aligned to business objectives and growth plans.

Provide market insight and benchmarking to support informed hiring decisions.

Build talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
Recruitment Delivery

Manage end-to-end recruitment from requisition approval through to offer and onboarding.

Work with hiring managers to define role requirements, selection criteria and sourcing approach.

Create engaging job adverts and support screening, interviewing and assessment activity.

Coordinate interviews, assessments, feedback and candidate communication.
Stakeholder Management

Advise managers on recruitment best practice, market trends and selection decisions.

Support objective, evidence-based hiring decisions.

Build strong relationships across the business to understand evolving talent needs.

Provide regular recruitment updates, reporting and forecasts.
Employer Branding and Attraction

Support employer brand activity and talent attraction campaigns.

Partner with marketing and communications to promote opportunities across relevant channels.

Represent IQE at careers events, industry forums and education partnerships.

Identify sourcing channels that improve candidate quality and diversity.
Diversity, Inclusion and Compliance

Promote inclusive recruitment practices and diverse candidate attraction.

Ensure recruitment activity complies with employment legislation, GDPR and internal policies.

Maintain accurate recruitment records and support diversity reporting.
Continuous Improvement

Review and improve recruitment processes, policies and guidance.

Use recruitment data to measure effectiveness and inform improvements.

Support the optimisation of recruitment systems and technologies.
About you
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
-
Strong experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or resourcing, including end-to-end recruitment delivery.

Confident partnering with managers and senior leaders across multiple functions.

Strong sourcing, interviewing, assessment and candidate management skills.
-
Experience managing recruitment technologies.
-
Knowledge of UK recruitment legislation, GDPR and fair selection practices.
-
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, organisation and project management skills.
Desirable
-
Experience recruiting within manufacturing, engineering, technology or semiconductor environments.

Experience supporting international recruitment activity.
-
CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Experience in employer branding, talent attraction or workforce planning.
