What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting delivery of major highways schemes across the Midlands

Applying cost intelligence principles to improve project performance

Working across both pre contract and post contract phases

Producing cost estimates, forecasts, and reports that drive decision-making

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across clients, consultants and contractors

Grade: Consultant

Location: Birmingham | Midlands Region

Discipline: Consultancy Quantity Surveying (RICS Accredited)

Department: Commercial Funding & Finance (Programmes & Advisory)

Here's what you'll need

✅ A degree in Quantity Surveying or qualified by experience

✅ Consultant level in Quantity Surveying with experience in highways

✅ Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract estimating

✅ Exposure to consultancy environments (or a mix of consultancy + contractor experience)

✅ Understanding of data-driven cost management

✅ A proactive mindset: someone who wants to learn, question, and grow
