The Opportunity
At Greenscape Energy, roofing and scaffolding are key to delivering a safe, compliant and exceptional service for our domestic and commercial customers.
We’re looking for an experienced Roofing Operations Manager with strong technical knowledge, a sharp eye for efficiency and compliance, and proven people leadership and development skills.
This is more than a management role. You’ll shape how we deliver roofing operations, develop high-performing teams, drive exceptional safety standards and influence continuous improvement across the business.
You’ll also oversee our scaffolding provision and provide hands-on leadership when needed, including stepping in as Working Foreman. You’ll be equally comfortable planning labour and logistics across busy installation programmes and holding contractors to account for performance, compliance, cost and safety.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead, motivate and develop our Roofing teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality installations.
- Plan labour and resources across a busy programme of domestic and commercial projects.
- Work closely with our Delivery Team to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
- Drive high standards of health, safety and compliance across roofing and scaffolding activities, ensuring alignment with legislation and company standards.
- Oversee all aspects of our scaffolding provision, from forecasting requirements and selecting suppliers through to signing off invoices and ensuring compliance with Greenscape and TG20/NASC standards.
- Provide technical guidance and operational support to roofing teams where required.
- Manage recruitment, performance and development to build a capable and engaged workforce.
- Resolve roofing-related customer issues professionally, protecting both quality and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement across quality, productivity and operational performance.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Significant experience within domestic roofing.
- Proven experience leading and managing roofing teams.
- Strong knowledge of tiled and slated roofing systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Working at Height requirements.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to make decisions.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Commercial roofing experience.
- Solar PV roofing experience.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- Scaffold Inspection or Scaffold Awareness training.
- First Aid, Working at Height, Manual Handling or Asbestos Awareness qualifications.
- Experience managing subcontractors and external suppliers.

Working Arrangements
This role is based at our Head Office in Ipswich, with regular travel to our warehouse and operational sites across East Anglia. Occasional travel further afield may be required to support commercial projects.
