The Headteacher and Governing Body of St. Michael's RC Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This full-time post is offered on a one-year fixed-term basis commencing on 1st September 2026 until 31st August 2027.
We are looking for someone who:
is a practising Catholic or is sympathetic and supportive of our Catholic ethos.
can work well in a team, providing support for children under the guidance of the teachers.
is sensitive to the emotional and wellbeing needs of children.
has had experience of working within a school.
- has a sound understanding of child development.

A practical activity with a small group of children and an interview will take place at the school during the weeks beginning 29th June/6th July 2026.
This post is offered on a fixed-time basis of 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Holidays must be taken during school holiday periods.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
