Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Associate to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and plating dishes as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring for various dishes
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and inventory levels are maintained
- Serve food to guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with general kitchen duties including cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- Basic culinary skills such as meal preparation, food handling, and cooking techniques
- Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
