Job Summary
Are you a technically minded sales professional looking to work with a world leader in the repair of induction furnaces, coils, water cooled leads and associated systems? EMSCO is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join the team, based in Sheffield, to develop key customer relationships, drive revenue growth, and provide expert technical support across our UK customer base.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts across the UK, with visits to the main production site in Sheffield required and extensive UK & European travel. You will be joining a well established team.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Manage and grow relationships and sales with key customers.
- Support customers with technical product queries and troubleshooting.
- Receive specifications and prepare quotations in conjunction with the Works Manager.
- Follow up on Customer orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Produce and issue internal contract documentation.
- Produce quotations and proposal documentation ensuring accuracy of the documents prior to submission.
- Be the main point of contact for customers requiring product information.
- Manage the sales negotiation process.
- Build close relationship with the customer to maintain after sales support.
- Work collaboratively with production team to ensure effective service to the customer.
- Visit and maintain Agent relationships where appointed.
Skills
Formal Mechanical / Electrical engineering qualification would be beneficial.
Experience: Ideally foundry capital equipment or maintenance sales experience, and/or with an electrical or mechanical engineering background, strong project management capability to handle projects.
You should hold a full driving licence and valid passport and be prepared to travel within the UK and Europe (this could be for up to 75% of the time).
