Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans diligently while fostering a positive environment for those in our care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing necessary assistance.
- Follow care plans accurately to ensure each resident receives tailored support according to their needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, enabling clear interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role.
