Steel fabricator/welder job available, Previous experience of at least 5 year in steel fabrication & welding.
You will be working alongside time served operatives
We are seeking skilled Steel fabricator/welder to join our team in the factory.

- Secondary Steel
- Staircase & Platforms
- Mezzanine Floors
- Balustrades & Handrails
This is a physically demanding role that requires experience with power tools, hand tools, and basic math skills.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of fabricated members.
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces using measuring tape and other marking tools
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience as a fabricator/welder is essential
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of welding techniques and processes
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements and angles
Please note that this is a paid position. We offer competitive wages based on experience.
Must have Driving Licence
39 hours per week, overtime available also.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Houghton le Spring, Tyne and Wear: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
