Renuvo is a family-run heating, gas servicing, and renewable energy contractor headquartered in Tamworth. We predominantly work with local authorities, ALMOs, housing associations, care homes, and private landlords across central England, servicing tens of thousands of properties annually.
In the last twelve months, turnover has nearly doubled, and compliance levels on our largest contract have reached 100%. We are financially strong and well-positioned for ambitious growth. Our three-year strategy focuses on materially increasing turnover, diversifying our client base, launching new electrical and renewables service lines, building a meaningful private customer book and positioning Renuvo as a credible mid-tier alternative to national contractors.
This is a senior level appointment adding to our senior leadership team. The Business Growth Director will own the commercial pipeline, lead senior client engagement, drive the launch and scale-up of new service lines and enhance Renuvo's market visibility. This is a senior commercial leadership role with full ownership of the strategic growth of the business, accountable for achieving our three-year ambition. The role includes:
- Defend and re-win core public sector contracts amidst structural changes.
- Build and maintain stakeholder maps for key public sector clients.
- Lead structured political engagement programmes with the MD.
- Ensure procurement readiness for all tender routes.
- Position Renuvo as the trusted specialist contractor for new in-house teams.
- Manage risk and build replacement revenue proactively.
- Own the live tender pipeline end-to-end.
- Build out the bid team, including Bid Managers and Business Development Managers.

Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a senior, professional who has a proven track record in a comparable role. This individual will possess the judgement, network and credibility to lead a senior team from day one. Requirements
- Demonstrable history of growing revenue in a mid-sized contracting business.
- Senior commercial role experience in social housing, FM, M&E, or compliance services.
- Deep familiarity with public sector procurement processes.
- Has personally led the winning of significant public sector contracts.
- Comfortable building relationships with councillors, chief executives, and MPs.
- Has built and run commercial/business development teams of 5+ people.
- Genuinely commercial, prioritising profitable contracts.
- Comfortable with detailed aspects of pricing, frameworks, and client relationships.
- Quality-led approach, not chasing scale at any cost.
- Comfortable with family ownership, bringing professional rigour.
- Self-starting, able to build a function from a clear strategy.
- Direct communicator, providing honest feedback.
- Visible and confident in public speaking and media engagement.
- High integrity, especially in regulated environments.
