An Exceptional Opportunity to Lead a Brand-New Children's Home
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Manager to take the lead of a brand-new 4-bed Children's Residential Home in Medway, Kent, supporting children and young people with EBD and/or Learning Disabilities (LD).
With a £60,000 basic salary and earnings of up to £65,000 OTE, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious children's residential professional who wants the autonomy to shape a new service, develop a strong staff team and establish a positive culture from the outset.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful development and day-to-day leadership of the home.
You will work closely with senior management to ensure the service is safe, compliant and child-focused, while developing a capable team that can deliver consistently high standards of care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the Children's Residential Home.
- Supporting the successful development of the new service.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Recruiting, leading, supervising and developing the residential staff team.
- Maintaining excellent safeguarding standards.
- Overseeing care planning, risk assessments and quality assurance.
- Developing positive relationships with Local Authorities, families and external professionals.
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing environment for young people.
- Driving continuous improvement and positive outcomes across the service.
About You
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Previous management experience within an Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Home.
- Experience as a Registered Manager, or substantial Deputy Manager experience with the ability to progress.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Level 5 Leadership & Management or an equivalent relevant qualification / currently working towards it.
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD and/or LD.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Children's Homes Regulations.
- The confidence to lead and develop a new service.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
