About the Role
You will be responsible for leading our electrical department, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, supporting and developing our operatives, and helping to grow the business into new sectors, including new-build developments and the private market.
Our current portfolio includes significant work within the Decent Homes sector for local authorities and housing associations. Existing and future new-build contract opportunities are available, and you will play a key role in helping the company expand these areas.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Qualified Supervisor (QS) certification/experience.
- Knowledge in decent homes work.
- Full understanding and experience of renewable technologies, including:
- Solar PV
- Battery storage (where applicable)
- Electric Vehicle (EV) charging installations
- Knowledge of available grant funding schemes relating to renewable technologies.
- Excellent understanding of NICEIC standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience carrying out quality assurance inspections and spot checks on electrical operatives.
- Ability to ensure engineers remain fully trained and up to date with current regulations.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical department.
- Ensure compliance with NICEIC standards and current electrical regulations.
- Carry out quality inspections and spot checks on completed works.
- Support, mentor and develop electrical operatives.
- Identify training requirements and ensure ongoing competency within the team.
- Help expand the company's work within the new-build sector and private market.
- Support the delivery of renewable energy projects and ensure best practice throughout.
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients, local authorities and housing associations.
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the company's future growth.

Pay: £42,500.00-£50,000.00 per year
