Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to provide essential administrative assistance within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations by managing various clerical and data entry tasks. To provide a broad range of administrative support, including handling phone calls, completing applications, auditing, data input, invoice processing, and onboarding referrals for the In Work Support Team.
You will work closely with Employment Specialists to ensure all administrative tasks are completed efficiently, enabling timely and cost‑effective delivery of client support, safeguarding business continuity through accurate records, effective time management, and the prompt, accurate submission of Access to Work claims. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential for this role.
Hours: 16hrs, 4hrs per day for 4 days, Tues-Fri
Salary: £26,581 (pro rata for 16 hours equals £12,150)
Core Responsibilities:
· Claims processing: auditing, invoicing, and payment checks
· Monitor incoming emails, dealing with queries in a timely manner
· Update/create Excel spreadsheets to capture and track data accurately and effectively, input data to monitoring systems
· Extract data and compile reports for management
· Liaise with Access to Work, submitting online applications and processing renewals
· Attend and take minutes at admin and team meetings
· Respond to telephone and email enquiries about Pure Innovations Employment services, signposting where appropriate
· To plan, organise and carry out work to strict deadlines including the prioritisation of own workload in accordance with management instructions

Essential
· Excellent knowledge and use of I.T systems including proficiency in Excel, MS Office, Word, and PowerPoint
· Previous experience in an administrative role
· Experience of working with Excel (spreadsheets, tracking, formulas)
· Use of internal CRM/case management systems
· Previous experience of working to deadlines
· Confident in creating/utilising spreadsheets to track both qualitative and quantitative data for reporting purposes
· Demonstrates excellent GDPR knowledge, ensuring all personal data is handled, stored, and shared securely and in full compliance with data protection regulations
Pay: £12,150.00 per year
