Happy Homewares is looking for a keen, hardworking, and bright individual to join our growing warehouse team. Our warehouse dispatches parcels across the UK, as well as shipments to the USA and other retail partners.
Hours & Pay
- 36.25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (45-minute lunch break)
- Occasional Saturday work, 8am–1pm, paid at 1.5x your standard hourly rate. Saturday shifts are scheduled in advance with reasonable notice and vary depending on business needs
- Starting salary from £25,000 per annum(£13.26 an hour), plus an annual performance-related bonus
- 23 days holiday allowance + bank holidays
What You'll Be Doing
- Picking and packing customer orders using handheld scanners/tablets for speed and accuracy
- Bulk picking for retail partner orders
- Stocktaking, stock rotation, and stock replenishment
- Counting, packing, and wrapping pallets ready for distribution
- Unloading shipping containers with new and replenishment stock
- General ad hoc warehouse duties as required
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, great attention to detail, and the ability to hit targets in a fast-paced environment. Previous warehouse experience is a bonus, but not essential; full training will be provided.
Successful candidates will be required to provide references.
Requirements
- Comfortable using computers/tablets
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System is a plus (not essential)
- Good communication skills — listening and speaking
- A genuine team player
- Self-motivated with the ability to use your own initiative
- Reliable timekeeping
- Flexible approach to work
- Strong attention to detail
- Forklift experience is a plus (not essential)
- Comfortable working towards targets and KPIs
