Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of commercial tyres to identify damage, wear, or punctures.
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove and replace tyres accurately and safely.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as balancing tyres and checking air pressure to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist customers with tyre-related inquiries, providing professional advice and solutions tailored to their needs.
- Lift heavy tyres and equipment safely using proper techniques to prevent injury and ensure efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of all tyre services performed, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures to uphold a secure working environment.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with tyres or automotive components.
- Familiarity with hand tools, along with experience using power tools.
- Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or servicing commercial vehicles is essensial.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to tyre servicing and general workshop practices is an advantage.
- Candidates must have a valid REACT licence
