Job Summary
Surbiton Golf Club, a private members golf club established in 1895 is seeking an enthusiastic person to add to it’s clubhouse team, with direct responsibility for ensuring front of house standards throughout and a smooth bar and restaurant operation.
Situation between the picturesque Surrey villages of Claygate and Hinchley Wood, Surbiton Golf Club is open all year providing catering services to our members and visiting guests. The club host a wide range of golf match dinners, social events, and both private and corporate dinners during a typical year.
As a Clubhouse Assistant you will have plenty of responsibility and opportunity to grow in your role, becoming a critical member of our team. We are seeking a friendly and organised Clubhouse Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent guest services, supporting management operations, and ensuring the smooth running of the clubhouse facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a welcoming demeanour to enhance our members’ experience.
Duties
- Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the clubhouse.
- Assist with organising events and activities within the clubhouse to promote member engagement.
- Support management in daily operations, including maintaining cleanliness and organisation of communal areas.
- Handle guest enquiries efficiently, providing information about facilities and services available.
- Manage bookings for clubhouse amenities such as meeting rooms or recreational facilities.
- Support in managing stock levels of supplies and equipment needed for clubhouse functions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction are maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience within the Hospitality sector with a good track record of supplying quality service.
- Knowledge and understanding EHO, health & safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to be well organised, motivated and above all, contain a good work ethic. The applicant should work well under pressure, even with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional guest services.
- Flexibility to work during peak times, including weekends or evenings.
Pay: £28,000.00 per year
