Senior Architectural Technician – Manchester

The Opportunity:
We are working with an established AJ100 architectural practice that is looking to strengthen its Manchester team with an experienced Senior Architectural Technician with strong technical delivery and construction-stage experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who is confident taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality technical information from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion.
You will work closely with Architects, consultants, contractors and other members of the design team, playing a key role in the successful delivery of high-quality technical and construction information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion
- Produce and develop detailed technical and construction information
- Prepare, maintain and issue accurate working drawing packages
- Coordinate architectural information with external consultants
- Liaise with main contractors and sub-contractors
- Attend design team, contractor and site meetings
- Identify and resolve technical and coordination issues throughout project delivery
- Take ownership of projects and manage technical information with a high degree of autonomy
- Ensure drawings and technical information are accurate, coordinated and delivered to programme
- Work collaboratively with Architects and the wider multidisciplinary design team
About You:
The successful Senior Architectural Technician will ideally have:
- 10+ years’ professional experience within an architectural practice or related built environment organisation
- Proven experience delivering projects through the technical and construction stages
- Strong knowledge of RIBA Stage 4 through completion
- Advanced AutoCAD skills
- Good working knowledge of Revit is highly desirable
- Strong technical detailing and construction information experience
- A good understanding of UK construction methods and Building Regulations
- Experience coordinating architectural and consultant information
- Experience liaising with contractors and attending site meetings
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently, take ownership and meet project deadlines
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary design environment
- A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the national nature of the project portfolio
