We are looking for a gifted, committed and spiritually minded Church Singer to support our worship ministry. The successful candidate will help create an atmosphere of meaningful Christian worship through music and will work closely with worship leaders, musicians and church leadership during services, rehearsals and special programmes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support congregational singing during church services and ministry programmes.
- Perform Christian worship songs, hymns and other appropriate musical selections.
- Attend and participate fully in scheduled rehearsals, worship services and special events.
- Work collaboratively with worship leaders, instrumentalists, choir members and technical teams.
- Learn and prepare assigned songs to a high musical standard.
- Support the development of the church choir and other singers where required.
- Help select suitable music in keeping with the theme and spiritual direction of services.
- Maintain appropriate conduct, punctuality and professionalism during rehearsals and services.
- Use musical gifts to encourage worship, spiritual reflection and congregational participation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong singing ability and a good understanding of vocal technique.
- Previous experience singing in a church, choir, worship team or similar setting is desirable.
- Ability to learn songs and harmonies and perform confidently both individually and as part of a team.
- Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and willingness to attend rehearsals, services and church programmes as required.
- A genuine commitment to Christian worship and ministry.
- Ability to play a musical instrument or experience in worship leadership would be an advantage.
