ecoLiving is a UK manufacturer of detergents, cosmetics and eco household products. We produce a wide range of products including detergent powders, tablets, laundry products, cleaning products and cosmetic/personal care products for our own brands and private label customers.
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse & Production Supervisor to support the smooth running of our manufacturing site in Burgess Hill. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong production experience, good organisation skills and the ability to lead a small team.
Role Overview
The Warehouse & Production Supervisor will oversee day-to-day warehouse and production activities, ensuring products are manufactured, packed and dispatched safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Experience in powder blending is essential. Experience with tablet pressing is desirable, but training can be provided for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production and warehouse operations.
- Oversee powder blending processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality.
- Support tablet pressing production where required.
- Ensure manufacturing is completed in line with batch records, procedures and customer requirements.
- Manage production schedules and help ensure orders are completed on time.
- Supervise packing, labelling and dispatch preparation.
- Ensure raw materials, packaging and finished goods are handled and stored correctly.
- Carry out stock checks and support stock control processes.
- Lead, train and support warehouse and production staff.
- Ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy and organised.
- Follow and enforce health and safety procedures, including COSHH requirements.
- Report machinery issues, quality concerns or production delays promptly.
- Support continuous improvement across production, warehouse layout and working processes.
- Ensure quality checks are completed and recorded correctly.
- Work with management to improve efficiency, reduce waste and maintain high standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production or manufacturing supervisory role.
- Experience with powder blending or powder manufacturing.
- Good understanding of batch production and accurate weighing/measuring of materials.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
- Confident following written procedures and production records.
- Good communication skills.
- Hands-on approach and willing to support the team where needed.
- Understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with tablet pressing machinery.
- Experience in detergent, cosmetic, chemical, food, pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing.
- Forklift licence.
- Experience working with COSHH-controlled materials.
- Knowledge of GMP, quality control or batch traceability.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience troubleshooting production equipment.
