We’re looking for a confident, compassionate and motivated Community Lead to join our team at Folkestone Care Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior carer, medication administrator or shift leader who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll play a key role in supporting the leadership of our home and ensuring residents receive exceptional clinical, residential, dementia and relationship-centred care every day.
About the Role
As a Community Lead, you’ll be a visible and supportive leader within the home, helping your team deliver consistently high standards of care.
Working closely with the General Manager, Senior Management Team, Care Coordinator and wider multidisciplinary teams, you’ll provide guidance, clinical expertise and hands-on support while helping to create a positive environment for both residents and colleagues.
You’ll work collaboratively with residents, relatives, colleagues and external professionals to promote quality, maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on leadership role where your experience, initiative and communication skills can have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and inspire the care team to deliver outstanding, relationship-centred care
- Ensure shifts run smoothly and residents experience safe, consistent and personalised care
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation, ensuring they are accurate and compliant
- Support safe medication administration in line with policies, procedures and best practice
- Champion dignity, independence, choice and meaningful engagement
- Complete audits and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Support staff through supervision, coaching, training and performance development
- Promote and maintain high standards in line with CQC requirements and regulatory standards
- Build strong, positive relationships with residents, families and external healthcare professionals
- Lead by example and help create a culture where great care is everyone’s priority
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines professional experience with warmth, confidence and a genuine desire to make a difference.
You’ll ideally have:
- QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or above
- Previous experience in a senior, supervisory or leadership role within adult social care
- Strong experience in medication administration and clinical care
- A good understanding of dementia care and best practice
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Confidence with care planning, risk assessments and supporting care teams
- A proactive, positive approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- The confidence to lead, support and motivate colleagues in a busy care environment
